You just need to heat the kamado to a high temperature to create a pyrolysis effect and turn food residues and fats into fine ash, which is easy to remove. A simple cleaning of the ash and a quick maintenance of the grill with a brush are enough to keep it ready for your next barbecues.
To prolong its lifespan, protect it with a suitable cover.

Classic supermarket charcoal can work, but the larger the pieces of charcoal you use, the slower the combustion will be.
High-quality natural charcoal also burns longer and produces less ash.

Absolutely! Thanks to its thick ceramic, the Forest Grill retains heat perfectly, even in winter. To avoid any thermal shock, it is recommended to heat the kamado gradually. And good news: winter is the ideal season for carrying out cold smoking, which imparts unique flavours to your food.

Fill the bowl with 2 large handfuls of charcoal and light it with one or two natural firelighters. Leave the lid open for a few minutes to allow the charcoal to catch fire. Then close the lid and adjust the lower and upper vents.
The more you open the bottom vent and the top chimney, the more air circulates and the higher the temperature rises, allowing you to switch from low-temperature cooking to grilling quickly.
